Farewell Season

Dennis Houser

As the Prescott Chorale begins its 10th anniversary season, we pause to honor the extraordinary artistry and vision of our founding Artistic Director, Dennis Houser. From the very first downbeat, Dennis has shaped not only the sound of this ensemble but the spirit of its community. His deep musical knowledge, abiding faith, and unwavering passion have guided the Chorale through years of choral excellence. He’s brought joy to each performance and inspired singers and audiences alike with his love for the choral art.

To follow in his footsteps is both a daunting and essential task. At the end of this 2025-2026 season, the role he created and fulfilled with such distinction will open to a new chapter—one that will carry forward the tradition he began. The position description that follows reflects the foundation Dennis built and the promise of what lies ahead. Though his shoes may be impossible to fill, we welcome the opportunity to find a new leader who will continue the Chorale’s mission with heart, imagination, and a commitment to musical excellence.

Announcing Our New Board President: Don Brenneman

We are pleased to announce that Don Brenneman has been appointed as the new President of the Prescott Chorale Board of Directors. A passionate choral leader with over 45 years of experience directing and singing in distinguished choirs and churches, Don brings a wealth of musical and organizational insight to this role.

Don has enthusiastically embraced the spirit of our milestone year by coining our 10th Anniversary Season: “A Season of Excellence.” In addition to his leadership role, Don continues to sing in the bass section of the Chorale.

We also extend our deepest gratitude to Kay, who has served with dedication and distinction as Board President for the past four years. Her leadership has been instrumental in guiding the Chorale forward, and her impact will be felt for years to come. We’re delighted that Kay will remain on the board, contributing her expertise in marketing and continued support for our mission.

Please join us in welcoming Don and thanking Kay for her incredible service!
